How do I find out what kind of signs I need?

There are so many kinds of signs, from the most elaborate video displays in Las Vegas, to the humble Yard Sign.

Sorting signs by category will help. Here are some questions to help you decide what kind of signs you need.


Is it an interior sign or exterior sign?

Is it Inexpensive or is it Permanent?Is it Permanent or is it Portable?

These two catch-all headings represent very common questions from customers.
The difference between Inexpensive/cheaper/low-cost and Permanent is usually that an inexpensive item is designed for a limited, temporary application or event, and not really made to weather well or to look as good as new for years, while Permanent signs are made to last longer, look good for a number of years, and weather very well.
The main difference is that Permanent signs require more of an up-front investment, which over the expected life span of the sign, costs much less than buying a cheaper sign which has to be replaced more often.
It's the perfect example of the old homily, "Penny wise and Pound foolish".

The difference between Permanent and Portable is that permanent signs are designed to be installed and not moved once they're in place. Portable signs are designed to be lighter weight and smaller, so they will be easier to move. Which one do you think is better able to handle strong winds and potential vandalism or theft?
